This afternoon, we were visited by some of the team from John Holmes Dental Surgery to teach the children about dental hygiene as part of our Life Skills curriculum. They were great and are keen for children to register if they haven’t already!
Today we have been supporting @DayOfWelcome by learning about refugees and how we can help those in need. There have been great discussions about how it would feel to be a refugee, with great links to @OnjaliRauf's 'The Boy at the Back of the Class' which we have been reading
The year 4 group usually split due to different interests. Yesterday had a change, they all came together and worked to make several different dishes. This environment brings together those who may not otherwise play together- really wonderful to see.
Enjoying the freedom that reading and literature brings us, is one of the greatest gifts ever. That's why these are the highest priority for our school. @WensumEngHub @DioceseNorCYF
The class really enjoyed relief printing yesterday - linked to our volcanoes learning, and inspired by Hokusai. They’ve done a great job! #ks2#primaryart
We have such a wonderful school serving the communities of Necton and surrounding villages. It is well worth the 5 minutes watching this video to see just why we are so special. Enjoy and please share 🙏#✝️Belong🌍Believe🕊️Thrive🌈Achieve🌟 https://t.co/BuZMeGvLnj
We have really enjoyed singing this song in school over the last two weeks. It's a great song and we had so much fun singing this! Now you can enjoy it with your children at home too. Out of the Ark Music. They also know the actions too, have fun. https://t.co/ahOZWPsKsZ
In PE, we have been improving our fitness and thinking about how we pace ourselves when running a further distance. We are so proud of everyone for improving their distances, with many running over 2km this afternoon and some running as much as 4km!
We loved starting our STAY SAFE WEEK and #childrensmentalhealthweek by talking about what we are proud of about ourselves. We also thought about how to help others know that they matter! Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference.
As parents, our kids mean the absolute world to us. Their mental health is just as important as their physical health, which is why we're proud, as part of our work through the Harry Kane Foundation, to support Children's Mental Health Week over the coming days.
We'll share the work that some of our amazing charity partners are doing and have a surprise in store for some school children who are already benefiting from our healthy minds mental resilience resources.
In our Collective Worship, we have considered our school value of peace. Listening to this music has helped us reflect spiritually whilst also reflecting on peace in our school. Here it is for you to enjoy at home: Bill Evans: Peace Piece https://t.co/jn4gDjZ9Vo via @YouTube
It was brilliant to welcome back @Eurovia_Cont to talk to the children about what they are doing locally and how to stay safe around roadworks. It was also good to get an update about the digger who got named ‘Bolt’ following a school competition!

We had a brilliant enquiry launch day today, thinking about 'What are the Wonders in our World?' We thought about natural and man-made wonders and came up with lots of suggestions and questions. We even had a quick go at making our own amazing structures with super teamwork!
Term has now ended, Christmas holidays are here! Our thanks go to everyone in our school community for their contributions supporting our children to #belongbelievethriveachieve . A term full of amazing achievements, we're looking forward to spring term flourishing.
