Year 5 had an amazing Viking Day yesterday. We created our own Viking settlements, prepared and baked some Viking flatbreads and created some longships in the forest! @NectonFS
What a fabulous year we have had with Year 5. We enjoyed a great last day sharing our favourite moments from the year. We hope you all have the best summer holiday and look forward to seeing you all in September!
Year 5 had a fabulous trip to The Norfolk Broads a few weeks ago. They enjoyed a nature trail, a guided boat tour and lunch by the river. @BroadsTours@NectonPrimary
We have almost finished our learning about Life Cycles this year. Today we pretended we were #DavidAttenborough and presented our own documentary based on the different types of life cycles! 🦎🐣🐰🌿🦘
Year 5 have been thinking about ‘How do Hindus make sense of the world?’ this half term in RE and have produced some excellent work thinking about the 4 paths to achieving Moksha and Ahisma.
Over the last week, Year 5 have planned and written personification poems about Spring/Summer. During the planning process we took a long walk around the field to get some inspiration ☀️🌲🌿
A fantastic afternoon in the Forest area today with @NectonY5. Hands on Saxon/Viking experiments, longboat building, shelter construction and cooking on the fire. Teamwork, creative thinking and enthusiasm, just a joy to be part of.
Huge thanks to all the teachers, school librarians, TAs and parents who've done so much today to help celebrate reading on #WorldBookDay! (And you can keep the bookish excitement going tomorrow by sharing the trailer for Black Hole Cinema Club with the young readers you know!)
Great discussions and Bingo fun today using Zones of Regulation to help us think about different emotions and how important our facial expressions can be. 😊@NectonPrimary
