Finally reading #thedawnofeverything - their description of American societies reminds me of sports teams. Individuals are measured and responsible for their own performance - but the fruits of their effort are communally shared. Why have I never seen a sales team paid this way?

Sometimes I forget I can go the the hospital to get a real, fresh, cheap nutritious meal. Basic food, shelter, and healthcare needs to be a human right.
