Honored to be a part of UTA’s Indigenous Peoples Day, and commemorate the history of our Native American community and the land on our campus. Thank you to our faculty and staff, @utsystem partners, and our NASA students for your hard work.

This is what collegial collaboration in service to Texas looks like. It has been a great honor of my life to work with these and other education deans across the state in our mission to produce the very best teachers for our students--our state's greatest resource! @ElevateTXEd
Great to share the stage with university systems from across the state, bringing together @teainfo, @TXHigherEdBoard and legislative staff for a discussion on how our universities prepare students to become educators – part of an effort to help address teacher shortages.
@JessePMendez @c_martinez@uhcoedean @UNT_COE_Dean @TXSTDeanEd @sehdtamu @utsystem The state benefits greatly from your leadership and that of the other education deans! Thank you!
@_Megan_Villa_ @ElevateTXEd@utsystem We were fortunate to have you on our team! Your insights and experiences were critical to the work we are doing. Hope you have an amazing year and thank you for what you do for our kids!
@SpencerWoods8@KXAN_News I complete understand and empathize with your point--what worries me about that is that the most vulnerable of our students would lose out. We need to cultivate political will to make systemic changes to value teachers intrinsically and financially.
@neil_lefty@KXAN_News Absolutely--I've heard it time and again from teachers--they are scared to go to school. Also terrified of arming teachers in those schools.
