PG medical entrance exams provide a good opportunity to make students learn the absolute essentials from all the branches. For example, every doctor should know the basics of managing depression and anxiety.

If NEETPG and INICET start asking clinical scenarios based on these topics, everyone will prepare accordingly and benefit during clinical practice as well.

But they ask things like the therapy of choice for conversion disorder and comorbidities in ADHD! (NEETPG 24).
Why do examiners expect a UG to know all of this? What is exactly being tested? Or are the examiners too disinterested to make good, relevant questions?

For a couple of years at least, I have been speaking in parliament about the issue of violence against doctors. I got into a bit of a debate with the then Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. I had argued that the government should bring in a bill to specifically protect medical professionals in the course of their duties. The government gave me a very odd reply that if they start doing it for one profession, they'd have to do it for others. This scene is from Gmers Medical College, Junagadh (Gujarat). At around 1 am tonight, the medicine resident doctor and other hospital staff were attacked by the patient's relatives while he was doing CPR. They even dragged the medical officer out of the casualty.

@autopsy_surgeon Not at all i was working in remote area of Gujarat Rajasthan border where i was warned that sir don't say anything to anyone they can do anything to you. Even some of doctors are afraid of their working staff also in remote area.
