Some of you have this thing that when you ask a question, you already know the answer you are expecting, getting a different answer just gets you so worked up.

If I know my husband is coming home late, sure there will be food he can heat up and eat. If I am not aware he will be coming home that day and he shows up at night, he can easily fix something for himself, I did not marry a child.

If it’s not wickedness, why are you expecting someone to make you food at night? Especially when they already went to bed before you arrive? If he was single, wouldn’t he have fixed something for himself? What’s this helplessness that comes with being married?

Now compare with having a flat tire by 1:30am, it’s funny how this is the comparison because having a flat tire by that time is not something you can do for yourself but a meal is something he can do.

If my husband has a flat tire by 1:30am and he couldn’t fix it, I will definitely drive down to pick him up. The right comparison should be if I return late, will my husband wake up to make food for me?

Marriage is not difficult, you all just come into it with unnecessary expectations.

I was on call in a private hospital when one of my nurses developed abdominal pains.
I ran around despite resistance from the hospital's admin to ensure she got an Ultrasound (they wanted her to pay first!).
Results showed Acute Appendicitis. This private hospital refused to book her in for urgent surgery until she made a deposit of 750K (Ps-She works here and her salary is less than 180K).
We mobilized her and sent her with another nurse to a government hospital. She went to 4 different government hospitals and 'No bed space' was all they said and turned them back (not even minding she was a nurse!).
I had to ask them to bring her back to the private hospital where she finally had the surgery after myself and 3 other nurses including the patient signed to have deductions from our salaries till the debt was paid.
She had a ruptured appendix when we finally went in which changed the surgery from a simple appendectomy to an Ex-Lap. 750k became 1.6M and we had to pay it for 5 months till it was completed. She is fine now but just putting this out here.
