@its_m_reilly Both my folks were Depression babies & didn't waste, but I think it's more genetic. Dad's mom didn't let anything go by: buttons saved from clothing that couldn't be mended; torn sheets cut down to pillowcases; eggshells to fertilize plants...

It was difficult to get during the pandemic, doubled in price & never went down. Can imagine what addl tariffs might do to packaging & ingredient costs.
We take care for & adopt out ferals & strays. It's a lot of food.
