Seventy-five years ago on this day, the doors of the newly rebuilt Somnath Temple opened in the presence of the then President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, proclaiming to the world that while the attackers have faded into the dust of history, the soul of Bharat endures.

Significant decisions undertaken by the Union Cabinet today:

➡️ Approved MSP funding of Rs. 1,718.56 crore for cotton seasons 2023-24. A step towards ensuring income stability for our farmers and encouraging sustained cotton cultivation.

➡️ Cleared 1500 MW Small Hydro Power Development Scheme which will benefit hilly and North Eastern states. Will boost clean energy generation, attract investments in rural areas and generate employment.

➡️ Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA), for developing 100 plug-and-play industrial parks approved with an allocation of Rs.33,660 crores. The initiative will enable ease of doing business and accelerate development of manufacturing sector.

➡️ Approved construction of 4-lane access-controlled National Highway-927 from Barabanki to Bahraich. Will provide seamless connectivity to key economic, social, and logistics nodes across Uttar Pradesh.
