Guess who would be really happy with Trump’s tariffs?
Warren Buffett
That’s right. In 2003 he wrote an article pointing out our huge trade deficit problem and proposed a solution… tariffs!

My Thoughts on the Failed Ukraine/US Minerals Deal
Politics aside, I'm glad the US backed out of the Ukraine Critical Minerals Deal.
Ukraine's mines are underexplored, undeveloped, and are in remote (war-torn) locations.
Plus, 25% of Ukraine's land mass has active land mines.
Even if a mine was tenable, there's a risk you'll blow up with every step (not like mining is difficult already!).
The deal terms also put the US at risk of ever seeing a return on investment (would've required billions in upfront spending, mainly from the US) with <50% ownership of the JV.
Meanwhile, the United States has plenty of minerals domestically to explore, develop, and invest in.
And we should!
It's time we Make Mining Great Again in America.
Big thanks to @JavierBlas for his coverage of the Ukraine minerals deal. He uncovered the truth that so many outlets refused to acknowledge.

Lower gas prices are coming:
Since Inauguration Day, oil prices have fallen in a STRAIGHT-LINE lower, now down over -10% from their high.
This drop ALONE is enough to reduce inflation by ~20 basis points or more.
Energy markets are telling us something.
