@nandiniv Such a lovely idea. Reminded me of my close childhood friend who fought with his fam to work as an apprentice in a mechanic shop in Jayanagar. He could dismantle, fix bikes cars at a very young age. He is now in Germany working for an auto company 🙃
At some point, as a working woman, you start seeing other women disappear.
It begins slowly. You are on a Zoom call and you are the only female face.
You are in a meeting room and someone presumes you are not good at what you do because you are so 'well-dressed'.
Kundana fort in Devanahalli, close to the airport.
It's a small fort with a pretty view with less than 30 steps. Has a tiny temple on the top. Perfect picnic spot if you don't want to hike around but want a quick get-away

Mom's phone was pickpocketed on streets of Jayanagar 4th block 2 years back. It was not just loss of a phone but losing a box full of memories & study source for mom who was doing her PHd.
3 days back the phone was traced & we got the phone back today
Thank you @BlrCityPolice
@ajit_bhaskar Wow. I had so much fun reading every tweet in this thread. Thanks for this, brought back all my calcutta memories. Also, you have a super apetite to eat & digest so many sweets Ajit 😋
Wrestlers kept their protest neutral for a long time but there was no attempt at outreach or to address their grave accusations.
That is when they let the “politicians” and professional “andolanjeevis” take the stage. It is what desperate people do when there’s no hope left. It is what you or I would do, take help from wherever it comes.
When the politicians started “pulling the strings”, when all the “nautanki” started, that is when the cameras remained focused, and the debate went mainstream. When they were quietly protesting, nobody listened.
Forget investigation, the Police was not willing to file even an FIR till the Supreme Court intervened. Does this not sound fishy to you? Look at how details of the investigation are now being selectively leaked to nudge public opinion in one direction. Does that not raise alarm bells?
The accused has previously on camera admitted to a murder. There’s a video of him slapping a wrestler at a public event. Aren’t these glaring red flags to probe further?
Is it possible that the Delhi Police, under the control of a particular party, will try to shield an influential politician, who belongs to the same party? You know the answer.
It is not my case to say that he is guilty or innocent – I simply cannot know. But the case doesn’t pass the basic smell test and there was strong resistance to probe it.
Why would a Sakshi Malik or Bajrang Punia spend months on the streets protesting? They aren’t even political entities. What do they gain? They would rather play the sport and win more medals.
Let us not insult the integrity of a woman, that too an Olympian, by claiming that she is “faking” a sexual harassment case to not participate in a national tournament or bring about some administrative changes. Never allege something so crass about a woman that you wouldn’t about your daughter.
Anyone who opposes this façade is immediately declared “Toolkit Gang” and whatnot. Are the likes of Abhinav Bindra, Neeraj Chopra, Kapil Dev, Sania Mirza, Irfan Pathan, Rani Rampal and Anil Kumble “toolkit” members? Boss, they are literally responsible for the national anthem being played at some of the most historic sporting locations in the world. They don’t need any nationalism certificates from online chamchas of political parties.
Mr @narendramodi, you meet sportspersons before an event, you call them immediately after a victory/loss, you host them for another event when they’re back. Where is your “personal” outreach today? You (not the sports minister, not the WFI Prez), you, told Vinesh Phogat that you know her and the family well and they should come over to your house. Why the deafening silence today? When they win, you shine in their fame for a bit but when they are screaming and crying today, there’s no appetite to engage?
Are votes in a part of Uttar Pradesh or Haryana next year more important than “naari shakti”? All these slogans about women empowerment, only to bow down to a Bahubali don? The party even tried to “brazen it out” with MJ Akbar, until he had to step down. Let that abomination not be repeated again for a goon.
Everyone knows how this script plays, the issue will be put in cold storage, he will be back campaigning next year, and he will also win seats – because politicians like him always win. But I’m afraid the nation would have lost – for the message it sends about women in India. When Olympians cannot get a fair hearing, what hope does it leave for the rest?
@karthiks Oh wow. Exact same story happened to me as well. The cops asked about the kind of job I did in India, muttered something & started laughing hysterically.
Wanted to punch them like anything 😑
