Feels like yesterday I was just figuring out basic C++ syntax, and now I am building full stack projects and thinking about system design.

One interesting insight while writing this:
In RAG systems, the retriever often matters more than the LLM.
If retrieval fails, even the best model can't produce a correct answer.
Improving retrieval quality is where most real-world RAG work happens.
