Neighbors For Education speaks truth to power in light of hate on @AC360. We believe that what we are asking for, and many around the country, are common sense solutions! Moms for Liberty is fabricating lies to control via fear. https://t.co/WsxdXiIigK

We at Neighbors for Education are deeply devastated and upset by the ruling of DACA by the 5th Circuit Court. There will be students effected by this, we at NFE stand with our DACA students! We ask Schools Districts to do the same, and stand with DACA students

“There was such a positivity and openness, and respect and great energy,” said Jennifer Williamson of Neighbors for Education. “We marched the parade and we never saw a single protester, and I didn’t hear any words of hate or opposition.” https://t.co/3dAdxjShGz

Lobbyist Barney Bishop "also told the paper he 'certainly hopes' the effort will expand into the K-12 system over time.
'I think the problem isn't just in higher ed. The truth of the matter is that kids are being indoctrinated from an early age,' he said." https://t.co/IrsdT44uO2
Reminder: Neighbors for Education Book Group tomorrow. “Wolf at the School House Door” Last meeting, Tuesday, 7/5 7PM @ All Souls Unitarian Church, 730 N. Tejon St. You're welcome to come even if you have not attended the other meetings (heck, even if you haven't read the book!)
In the introduction to "A Wolf at the Schoolhouse Door," the authors quote Gordon Lafer: "education is the one remaining public good to which most Americans still believe we are entitled by right of citizenship." How can we better activate that belief in D11?
The book is all-too-relevant today with Chief Justice Roberts writing in today's Carson v. Makin decision, "The State pays tuition for certain students at private schools — so long as the schools are not religious. That is discrimination against religion." 👎
Neighbors for Ed will be discussing "A Wolf at the Schoolhouse Door" by @Edu_Historian and @BisforBerkshire today at 7:00 pm @ All Souls Unitarian Church, 730 N. Tejon St. Colorado Springs. Two more discussions July 5 and 19. https://t.co/JxKFJ9fH1q
