@DKemeridou To be fair, I'm not sure I can even describe the book. Many of the Poems simply 'fell out of my heart & soul'.
There's a few that it could be argued deserve a touch of colour, but if you catch the subcontext, you soon go
Poetry is the hardest thing to design for. There's no plot twist to tease, no "enemies to lovers" hook... only the mood and voice, so the design can't describe the book. It has to feel like it.
For N.A. Rushton's "Within My Palace, Deep," that meant committing all the way to one atmosphere: blackletter title, aged sepia, low lighting, and a single dry line, "poetry for the misanthropic introvert." Simple and beautiful, without noise and bright colors.

@deanpb_author@EddAhearn1 I can't remember the last time I read a book that didn't have one or two.
I'm reading The Count of Monte Cristo at the moment and have seen 2, and I've still got 800 pages to go. It hasn't bothered me even remotely.
@AnthonyLaFauci Films: Dead Poet Society. Superman. Pink Panther
TV shows: Red Dwarf. Take Hart. Rab C Nesbit.
Books: Neverending Story. The BFG. Cabal.

Does anyone else get annoyed with themselves when they wake up at 5:45am with an idea, find that, for the first time in months haven't brought their notepad upstairs, and by the time they've rushed downstairs to get it, they've forgotten the idea?
@hmdpublishing Many people have the same opinion. It's been on my TBR for a while, but hasn't 'called out' to me until now.
So far, I am enjoying it too. Although I still have about 990 pages still to go, so I'll reserve final judgment ๐
