Don’t often find much of interest at Coombe Abbey but this male Pintail yesterday was a nice surprise! There was also a Great Egret which is often on far bank along path to hide.
Wander along Draycote Bank this afternoon. No sign of Purple Sandpiper. Ruff at Rainbow Corner, Great Egret having a spat with numerous herons at pumping station. At least 20 Little Egrets. 2 Grey Wagtails.
Been remiss posting. Trip to Skye andnrth coast of Scotland in May although not just for birding but did see White Tailed Eagles (sadly no Golden), Black Guillemots, Whimbrel, distant Puffins but couldn't get photo. Seals and Dolphins too.
Nice to be able to walk round @STWDraycote again. Lots of human activity today on the water and quiet on the bird front. That said two "old friends" popped up again at Rainbow Corner. They must surely be about to pack their bags!
Lovely day @STWDraycote with Bob Hazell. With Bob's help finally caught up with Black-Throated Diver. Too distant for photo. Also 3 GN Divers. Common Scoter by Pontoons.
A great day at Frampton Marsh last Sunday. New birds for me Lesser Yellowlegs, Curlew and Buff Breasted Sandpipers. Sadly the SP Sandpiper and Black Stork proved elusive. Also BT Godwit, Redshank, Little Stints, Merlin, Wheatear and Bearded Tits as a real bonus.

A quiet afternoon at Brandon Marsh this afternoon until two juvenile Hobbies appeared on River Pool perching on dead tree on far side from Mick Taylor Hide. A challenge for my Lumix as grainy pics show! #BrandonMarshSightings
Very quiet @STWDraycote this afternoon. Nothing of interest until rewarded by Osprey circling and then flying back over hide across reservoir. Too high for me to get a photo.

Back in Limousin, France. As usual birding quiet. Chaffinch, Black Redstart, Goldfinch, GS and G Woodpeckers in garden. No sign of Hoopoe yet. Red and Black Kites, Kestrels overhead. House Martins starting to appear as are Blackcap. Pleased to see Jay today.
