@leicesterliz I think it’s quite obvious when you receive nearly 10,000 replies that think your rhetoric is terrible and under 1,000 likes, if you don’t get the message you are on the wrong side of aisle, you never will!
@AGroundsss@cjpoot You don’t keep an unhappy player, that never works out for the best. He lives near Wigan, his son is at the academy, Caldwell is a friend & former manager & an extra years contract gives him security. It’s not that deep, it’s football & we move on.
@AGroundsss@cjpoot Our main Radio Leeds commentator had him as his POTY before the likes of Sarce, Pointon, Metcalf etc. Don’t underestimate his influence, his player stats had him down as one of the best midfielders in the division. His personal circumstances are the reason we’ve let him leave.
@SHD_Backup Halliday’s was handled brilliantly, that’s been well documented. Every player is different, every move has different circumstances around it. We’ve had nearly 3 years of GA handling players well, his track record speaks for itself.
@charliekeegan I’d be surprised if he didn’t do well. He was a fab captain for us & we missed his influence when he was suspended. I don’t get the animosity from some City fans. At his age, he’s got to do the right thing by his family. That’s football. We move on & he goes with my best wishes.
@AGroundsss@cjpoot He was a massive upgrade pal, by every metric he was a much better player than Smallwood (who I liked). When he was suspended we really missed his presence. Of course he’s replaceable but it won’t be as easy as people might think.
@LordPedder@pideson@PTAlanSwann He’s said it’s other stuff like Caldwell returning, travel isn’t his only reason. Don’t we want him to be honest? My guess would be yes, he would have likely been found out in The Championship so I’d have expected the same move to happen with a longer contract offer from Wigan.
@LordPedder@pideson@PTAlanSwann The M62 is busy pretty much all day every day. It’s mind numbing being sat in traffic day after day. If the situation was reversed, we’d be telling Wigan fans his family & connections are with City & to get over it. Any animosity is baffling to me, it’s football, we move on.
@pideson@PTAlanSwann Damned if he did, damned if he didn’t. I thought he was great for us last season but of course he’s replaceable. It could be a blessing in disguise if the recruitment team brings in a younger more dynamic midfielder. Over to them!
@pideson@PTAlanSwann He has said that TBF in his Wigan interview. I just think sometimes you have to understand the pull when you have a connection to a club & you also live so close to it. A 2 year contract gives extra security. I certainly don’t understand the animosity from some. We move on.
@laticssamuala@officialbantams If I played for Wigan and lived near Bradford and got the opportunity to sign for Bradford, I’d be there like a shot if the money was similar. It’s just common sense & family life. The bitterness baffles me, but it probably shouldn’t!
@bcafcwin@PaulAshwor34515@mattj_362@LaticsOfficial He was Jamie Raynor’s POTY. His stats told you he was one of the best midfielders in the division. His influence on us was massive. Just because some of our fans shout loud on X, it simply means a lot of them are bitter. It’s all about opinions, i just happen to be right.
@PaulAshwor34515@bcafcwin@mattj_362@LaticsOfficial 90% of City fans thought he was class last season. He captained us to our highest finish in a generation. Whenever he was suspended we missed his influence. Any City fan that thinks differently needs a visit to Specsaves, urgently! Best of luck Max.
@Bantam1989@TomTots@officialbantams Doing that on the M62 for a whole year with drive me bonkers!! I only do it 4/5 times a year & it pisses me off every time! 🤣
@laticssamuala@officialbantams Most City fans will understand, some just have tunnel vision & struggle to see the bigger picture. He goes with my gratitude & best wishes. If I had to do the M62 every day, it would drive me nuts! Football moves on, no one is bigger than the club. Replacing him won’t be easy.
@AlanBartle12@seandonegan@utfc1903 About 90% of our fanbase think he’s quality. He’s captained our team to its highest league finish in a generation. A few numpty’s on X who love to shout loudly are absolutely clueless. Replacing him won’t be easy.
@SMFIRTH90@AJWBCAFC At this stage of his career he has to do what is right for his family. The move makes complete sense. No animosity from me, he was great last season & we move on. At least it’s early & we have the time to replace properly & hopefully upgrade which won’t be easy.
@PaulAshwor34515@ShirtyMorris We’ve all got them. Some of our lot are probably expecting Declan Rice to come in if we do lose Power! The sense of entitlement is off the scale sometimes. If it does happen it won’t be easy to upgrade, we might be able to do it but they would be very big shoes to fill.
