'A man meets an old university friend, but finds that things have changed between them.' This started life as a novel scene, but now lives on as a short story. Reads and retweets would be hugely appreciated! https://t.co/zcNOJoYrlB
Trying to think of a worse individual centre forward performance than the one Hirst's just subjected us to. It was so bad I started to wonder whether we've got recall options on Milan Smit or Nathan Lowe!
That legendary first fight took Wardley's soul. Imagine thinking you've got to go life and death all over again just a few months later? Wardley never looked like he believed he could reverse that result.
https://t.co/VSKyWo0os4 Only too happy to have contributed the Stoke City entry to 'I was Hooked' - a nostalgic, and wholly entertaining, look back at the memories of various fans' first football matches. Great stocking filler for fans 'of a certain age.' πβ½
Teams that do well in this league know how to win ugly when they need to. Today's victory was a complete minger, but 3 points is 3 points. Up the Potters!
Another great set of subs from Robins today. Bombino gave Bocat far more protection than he was getting from Devenny, and Bolton's main attacking source was snuffed out. Junior and Lawal both added some steel too just at the right time. Great performance from manager & players.
@Bunnyduckmag I can't remember an England defence ever being this bad. Even under Graham Taylor we had better defenders than we've got now. Something has gone badly wrong.
England's defending has now reached comic levels of ineptitude. They're like one of those naive grassroots teams everyone else thrashes and feels sorry for : unathletic 8-year-olds trying to tiki-taka their way out of defence because someone's dad's been on an FA coaching course
@SkySportsBoxing Fury doesn't fancy it. Deep down, he knows he's shot and doesn't want the ignominy of losing to an equally past-it Joshua. Honestly, nobody cares at this point. The pair of them are about as relevant to the heavyweight division as two old blokes scrapping in a pub car park.
@sneydstones@WestpointEvans He wouldn't be in my first XI, but he's alright filling in. Definitely helps him being in the middle of the 3 and not having the ball at his feet so much.
So many players look like they belong in this formation. Maxi, for example, is far better at the centre of a back 3 than in a pair - he can concentrate on winning aerial duels and let the two CBs either side of him play the ball out.
