Please HELP Alberta!
This is real data from EDM EDs
It shows the worsening trend of completely blocked EDs
Share widely and talk about this!
Help bring this to the Premier/govt's attention (maybe call into her radio show, as that seems to inform govt policy!!!)

I'm reupping this thread from last year. I took some time to gather the data then and it is not only still on the money - it is still incredibly timely.
Private care in AB (in this case the CSF's) have been shown - Not. To. Work.
How much more do we need to show?
Reposting (it was buried in a previous post):
Here are some HC Tips I can think of to do with the 100 Dani Distraction Dollars...
What other tips can you all think of...
Help fellow ABs out, as govt privatizes and these ED waits are only going to get longer...
Lead Not Leave has published its first piece on the importance of federalism to creating a stronger Alberta within a united Canada.
Without implication, it builds on an excellent essay by @howardanglin also published by The Line. Link below.

WOW!
Today Smith tried to perpetuate her spin on what duty to consult means and how it applies...
And Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew was having NONE of it!

🇨🇦 Arlene Dickinson laying out the Danielle Smith UCP problem. 👇
"Sorry but this isn’t western alienation. This isn’t a protest vote. This sure appears to be a deliberate step-by-step attempt to dismantle Canadian democracy and Albertans deserve SO much better."
This. All of this.
This should be sent to every UCP MLA who is supporting the dismantling of our h/c system by instituting "diagnostic testing selected by patients".
They will become the prey of unscrupulous diagnostic companies and this is what will happen.
🚨BREAKING!🚨
Never to let a good crisis go to waste, the UCP are clearly taking advantage of the separatist data breech scandal to run the table on electoral boundaries.
Secret meetings?
Secret Maps?
Every Albertan should read this!

What’s striking is how little attention is being paid to the most obvious incentive in all of this: private testing providers.
These are near-ideal business models – high fixed cost, low marginal cost, with the ability to scale volume. Even expensive equipment like MRI can reach return on investment quickly in a private-pay environment.
That creates a clear incentive to expand demand.
When testing is driven by patient concern rather than clinical context, it generates more findings, more follow-up, and often repeat customers.
And without clear requirements for pre-test counselling or post-test responsibility, it risks becoming a high-throughput model – producing information without clear clinical integration.
This isn’t just about access. It’s about how incentives shape what gets offered – and why.

Here's a guardrail the govt can consider... IF they ever get around to it (recall they have NOT implemented any promised guardrails for the CSFs they rushed in years ago): 🧵

Each time Alberta has established an Electoral Boundaries Commission to redraw election maps the government has accepted the commission’s majority report, so I was surprised and disappointed to learn that a committee of MLAs has instead been tasked with creating a new map. /1

It would be a good time to remind ABs that I was there when the Premier flippantly said she could easily replace Family Doctors with NPs.

The negative impacts of coal mining aren't a hypothetical, they are happening in real time.
We can't afford to let this happen in the eastern slopes.
Our province deserves better. Share this post, sign the petition and sign up to canvass.

Looks like Mr. Mraiche's fingerprints found in Recovery AB contracts/deals also:
“Mr. Mraiche allegedly called “his friend J.P.,” an Alberta government insider, and put him on speakerphone...."

Seems Danielle smith accepted flights on the Saudi King’s private jets and didn’t remember until the NDP found out
Same jet that carried the bone saw kit?
Did she think about the smallness of Jason Kenney and his Sky Palace as her ego soared? https://t.co/ANjqp2VAbc
Tone deaf, defensive, arrogant and unwilling to thoughtfully consider any criticisms levied against him from Clubs, Agents and Players. Parros thinks he and his slick group of video producers are doing a great job for the game! A train wreck of comments. I rest my case.
