Much like USC’s decision to retain Grinch after last year, the Chargers elected to retain Staley after an epic meltdown against the Jags. For the Bolts, firing Staley would’ve resulted in Sean Payton taking over. Sadly, we now have to watch him turn around the Broncos. @chargers
@joeylinn_ At some point, Ty Lue needs to take some responsibility for not sifting through this and simplifying shit. Kawhi Leonard is nonexistent and the ball doesn’t move. This is painful to watch
@DylanByers@RobertMackey What would be the rationale to ever turn it back on? What would ever change with Elon? Will he be cured of supporting hate speech? Antisemitism? 🧐 Would be more meaningful if they pulled out permanently.
@jay_miller4 The ire is not at him per se, but the front office that used the #6 pick on a dude that would’ve been available in the second round, and then doubling down on him at $40M/yr AAV when the dude had one decent year in which he was somewhat healthy.
@Realrclark25 Coach T, Andy Reid, PC, Belichick, and Shanahan are the top 5 coaches in the NFL, in no specific order. Cases could be made for Harbaugh and more recently with Sirianni, but no doubt Coach T is an all-time great.
@Farbod_E 100%. The emphasis going into the season was to take the regular season seriously and not sacrifice games or positioning in the West. A week into the season, we’re back to “we’ll figure it out before the playoffs” mode. Kawhi’s frustration is understandable. It’s on Frank & Lue
@Adam_Bradford14 Talent vs Coaching. Caleb is the best talent in CFB, and (at best) plateaued this year wrt decision making and ball security. As HC, Lincoln brought back Grinch, which set-up those kids (on the D) to fail. Great HCs maximize talent. Lincoln is paid like a great HC. He is not.
