@GaryLong1661 Some years ago on West End Lane in West Hampstead a black cab driver with two passengers in the back stopped to ask me how to get to the West End.
@Natasha_Walter I’ve lived in London for 38 years. The total experience I’ve had of crime directly affecting me is that someone diddled me out of £10 through some sleight-of-hand at a ticket machine, and an old man hit me in the face with a rolled-up newspaper. That’s it.
@KonstantinKisin I travel on the tube very often, and have done for 37 years. People going through barriers without paying is extremely common, but other than that I’ve never seen any problem at all other than beggars, the odd shouting match and the occasional obvious pickpocket.
@jillybean2009@ColinSkittles They weren’t bolted/screwed/nailed on in any way, so I expect they’d be quite easy to remove with a screwdriver or similar.
