Little late in sharing but check out this new exciting research in @IJMS_MDPI from our lab demonstrating DLX5 to be a promising target for the hypertrophic/apoptotic phenotype and OA pathogenesis in MSC.

Bad injury for KD! Timely for my recently accepted article in @AJSM_SportsMed demonstrating the common mechanisms of AT tears in the NBA w/ @BrettOwensMD @SDeFrodaMD @NeillYunLiMD .Data shows 20% retirement and in those that do RTP 11 mo recovery time w/ decline in performance
Bummer for KD and Warriors. We presented our work on NBA Achilles tears at #AAOS this year and is in press @AJSM_SportsMed . This is another great video example of the mechanism we found - take off/acceleration with foot in dorsiflexion, knee in early flexion, hip in extension.
Appreciate @AAOS1 highlighting our article on obesity's impact on the operative treatment of upper and lower pediatric limb fractures. https://t.co/QUsToZQ9gu
What an excellent start to the week! We are officially funded! Our lab has received an MTF Biologics Research Grant! I want to offer a huge thank you to @OREFtoday@TheMTF1 and to all of the members of my lab! You all make this awesome journey possible #ProudPI#Time2Celebrate
I am excited to introduce @NeillYunLiMD! Dr. Li received his MD from @LoyolaMedMD. He’s currently a PGY-4 Ortho resident at @BrownMedicine doing meniscus research in our lab. Dr. Li has a passion for academic medicine and will make an excellent physician-scientist in the future!
