If your phone charging connector is a USB Type-C, you need this information before you plug your cord to random charging outlets next time.
If anyone carrying a block that looks like a ‘power bank’ asks you to unlock your phone and help them confirm if their type C charger is working (they’d lie that it’s not charging their phone), please DONT DO IT.
The new scam in town is they use the tech device (that has the look of a power bank) to clone all your files (photos, videos, chats etc). Their aim is to basically clone your phone with the device, with future intent to use it to blackmail you or steal from you. However, the scam won’t work unless you unlock your phone. Unlocking gives the device the access they need to transfer your files.
Why am I sharing this information? We are currently handling a case like that with the police. A guy invited a lady he met online for a movie date, during the movie, he told the lady that his USB Type C cord is not charging his phone and asked if he could try the charger on her phone. The innocent, unsuspecting lady unlocked the phone for the guy, and continued with the movie. About 5min later, the guy passed the Lady’s phone back to her saying he forgot and they moved on. Few days after the date, the guy began blackmailing the lady with private files from her phone that even her couldn’t remember she still had them.
Henceforth, before you connect your USB Type C to a ‘power bank’ or ‘charging outlets’ without your adapter (charging brick) please ensure you set your phone to not charge unless unlocked. Or better still, get your own powerbank.
🚨 Evra: “Some people think that Rooney hated Ronaldo because of a few on-field heated moments hahaha . A fighter who played like the grasses owed him blood, you're simply his adversary anytime you play against him and that's just wazza.
Rooney played with so much passion that always translated into aggression for the badge. Gerrard, Vierra, Campbell, others knew him. He celebrated a goal against his boyhood club in his first game against them at Goodison. No hate, just love.”
There are a lot of things you can insult Khamzat Chimaev for
But his mandatory and enforced glazing of Kadyrov is not one of them
Even though our politicians are terrible and retarded. Some of you have no idea that we are still some of the lucky ones in this world
I dread to think what would happen to Chimaevs loved ones if Kadyrov ever heard the word "no" come out of Khamzats mouth...
This poster, letting Kadyrovs son beat him up for social media, he may not have one ever pulled on him but around Ramazan, he is forever at gunpoint
Man United now have Cristian Orozco, Sékou Koné and also Kobbie Mainoo; potentially the best midfield Trio for a decade but predicting their future under Ruben Amorim gives me parasomnia.
@ManUtd Not subbing onana is shocking to me, I actually burst out laughing when he was trying to save them pens, I haven't seen a gk like it in my life, Sunday league keepers are better and I am not joking, onana has cost us soo many times, it's actual insanity
@0xSloaan@ringmagazine For me he's the best, look at all he has achieved, people forget about the two gold medals as well at the Olympics, mayweather did everything to make sure that 0 stayed an 0,uysk is risking it all, has to be best ever for me
This American dude on his way to his Japanese fluency decides to talk to a local Japanese grandpa, and it turned out to be the most wholesome convo ever 🥹
Ilia Topuria has knocked out Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira in his last three fights 👊
His resume continues to get better 🏆 #UFC317
Please report "sorry we are experiencing unusually high call volumes" messages, we are testing if firms play this for EVERY call.
If you call a bank, broadband, mobile, credit card, energy, water, sewerage firm, pls take 30s to report it via https://t.co/iwHdA6L0NL
This is our final data collection before we contact the worst offenders (if it's a lie that the volumes are unusual it may well breach the FCA consumer duty) . It's unfair on callers, and unfair on call centre workers who bear the brunt of people's frustrations.
