What does cake have to do with Web3?
Let me show you, make sure you read to the end ❤️🔥
I took myself out on a stroll, then I saw this four-tier cake that was really looking good in a shop. I walked in to check it out, but the price made me turn back immediately.
The sales girl asked, “What is the problem Ma'am?”
I replied, “Nothing.”
She smiled and said, “Nothing, really?”
I was like, “You got me there is a problem, why is the cake so expensive? It looks really good. I wish I could get some.”
Then she started laughing. She said, “You could actually get some.”
I asked her, “How?”
She replied, “This cake can be sliced into small slices, and you only need to pay for what you can afford. So you still get to enjoy the cake, even if it’s just a slice.”
Then a customer who was listening said, “Just like RWA.”
We both asked, “What is RWA?”
The customer said, “All what she explained is exactly how RWA works, but instead of cake, it is real assets like houses, lands, art, etc. Real World Assets (RWA) are tangible assets from the physical world that are making their way onto the blockchain.
Through tokenization, these big, expensive things are divided into smaller digital tokens so that anyone, anywhere, can own a piece. This makes investing easier, cheaper, and open to everyone not just the rich.”
The sales girl and I looked at each other, smiled, and said at the same time, “Now that makes perfect sense.” 🥰
I enjoyed reading @thesarahidahosa thread on RWA.

Day 8 of the @growthinweb3 consistency challenge.
You've seen the headlines about #RWA:
Tokenize real world assets, buy fractions of it, earn yield.
That’s a good start, but it barely scratches the surface.
Here are two powerful use cases of #RWA you likely haven't heard of.🔻
