We're delighted to announce the signing of Lewis Milne from St Andrews United.
This is, of course, Lewis' second spell at the club, having made his professional debut for Cowdenbeath at the age of 17. He went on to make 117 appearances for The Blue Brazil, scoring 12 goals. He was part of the side that won the Championship Play-Offs in 2013/14, assisting all three goals in a 3β0 victory over Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park.
Following spells with Forfar Athletic, Perth Azzurri, Montrose, Raith Rovers, Stirling Albion, Brechin City and St Andrews United, the now 32-year-old midfielder has signed a two-year deal at Central Park.
Welcome home, Lewis!
Upon his return, Lewis commented "I'm really pleased to be back at Cowdenbeath FC. I enjoyed several great years at the club so returning feels a bit like coming home. It was a no brainer when the club approached me and I spoke to the gaffer, who Iβve played with previously. The club has always meant a lot to me and I'm excited to pull on the shirt again. I'm looking forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting the new players and staff. I can't wait to get started and see what we can achieve together."
With manager Paul McLean on the returning Milne "Delighted Lewi has decided to join us. Heβs a player I know well from our time together at Stirling and feel he is exactly the type of experience we need to help the group progress. He's a top player with fantastic technical ability and great set play quality. A great guy who Iβm looking forward to working with again."
Director of Football Operations Colin Nelson added "Really happy to announce the return of Lewis to the club on a 2 year deal. Lewis, as we all know, is an excellent footballer and a player who we identified for a number of reasons. I'm delighted he has "come home" to where his professional career started and despite other offers he showed a great willingness to make the move happen here. My thanks to St Andrews also for their professionalism in concluding the deal."

Weβre thrilled to announce that Sam Newman has extended his stay at Central Park.
The 24 year old defender has made 124 appearances for the club across two spells, scoring six goals, while also captaining the side on a number of occasions.
Welcome back, Sam!
Upon signing his new contract, Sam commented βReally happy to be back at Cowden and sign again for the upcoming season. Iβm looking forward to building on the season we had last year with a great group of guys and an excellent management team. Many thanks to Colin Cashmere for chirping at me all off-season to sign. Mon the Cowden.β
Director of Football Operations Colin βCashmereβ Nelson added βDelighted that Sam has agreed to extend. Weβve had to be patient, and Iβm happy Sam has chosen to stay here, as he is a major part of the club both on and off the pitch. He is vital to the managerβs plans and the clubβs ambitions.β
Manager Paul McLean said on securing his man βDelighted Sam has (finally) decided to sign a new deal. Weβve been in discussions with Sam for a number of weeks and knew he had offers from elsewhere, but it again shows the togetherness and belief in this group that heβs decided to commit. Heβs a player who is vital to how I want my teams to play and one who could easily play at a higher level. Another important signing for us.β

We can now confirm that goalkeeper Blair Gallagher will sign for the club following the expiry of his current contract.
Blair joins us from Blackburn United, where he helped The Burnie secure a fifth place finish and promotion from the East of Scotland First Division to the Premier Division.
The young stopper was previously on the books at Whitburn Juniors and also enjoyed a loan spell at Oakley United.
Welcome to Central Park, Blair.
Upon signing, Blair commented βIβm delighted to have signed for the club. After speaking with the gaffer and Colin, I knew it was the right move for me. Iβm looking forward to the season ahead.β
Manager Paul McLean added: βWeβre really pleased to be bringing Blair to the club. Heβs a young goalkeeper with real quality and comes in off the back of a really good season with Blackburn. He will provide strong competition for Dion, and Iβm really looking forward to working with him.β
Director of Football Operations Colin Nelson said: βWeβre happy to confirm the signing of Blair, whom we have watched a few times. He showed a great desire to come here despite having a couple of other offers. He is taking a step up, but itβs one weβre confident he can make, and he again fits the criteria of giving talented players an opportunity at a higher level. Iβm also delighted that we now have two permanent goalkeepers for the first time in a long time, which I believe is important.β

Following the end of the campaign, Director of Football Operations Colin Nelson shares the following update :
"As the season has now come to an end, as always we like to keep supporters updated as best we can regarding the squad.
We have managed to retain 14 players from this seasonβs squad, which gives us a strong foundation for the first time in many years. Itβs fantastic that we have these players committed to the season ahead, which shows their willingness to be here - not just for the club, but for our manager and staff as well.
We have an excellent group, and as always, we are working hard behind the scenes to bring in players over the summer period. We are currently in negotiations with two or three out of contract players from last seasonβs squad and will confirm updates on those in due course.
Finally, as is always the case in football, players will move on. With that in mind, I would like to thank the following players who will now be leaving : Darren Downie, Liam Watt, Zack Tomany and Jackson Innes. My sincere thanks go to them for their efforts in the Cowden jersey this past season and I wish them all the best.
I would also like to thank our loan players - Rhys Walker, Scott Williamson, Nathan Lawson and Jack McConnell - for their time at the club.
We will endeavour to keep supporters regularly updated on new signings and contract renewals over the coming weeks."

We can confirm that Zack Tomany has joined @standrewsutdfc on a 6 week loan deal.
Zack signed for the Club in the summer and scored in the wins over Caledonian Braves and Cumbernauld Colts earlier this season but has been missing from the squad since the beginning of the November. He made his comeback as a half time substitute in Saturday's victory over East Stirlingshire.
We wish Zack all the best at Recreation Ground.
Director of Football Operations Colin Nelson commented "Zack has missed a lot of football this year due to injuries after a really positive start at the club. The gaffer and I felt he needed more games to get that sharpness back with minutes under his belt. This is a good move for all parties and I'm confident Zack will do well under a good coach/manager in Greg Shields, whom I know well and trust."

We are delighted to welcome goalkeeper Jack McConnell to Central Park.
Jack becomes the third player to join us on loan from Motherwell under the co-operation agreement, teaming up with Scott Williamson and Nathan Lawson.
The 17 year old will provide competition to Dion Gear and goes into the squad for tomorrow's Lowland League Cup tie away to Linlithgow Rose.
Director of Football Operations Colin Nelson commented "Happy to confirm another co-operation loan signing in Jack who trained with us Thursday night and done very well. My thanks goes to Motherwell and David Clarkson in facilitating this loan so quickly further enhancing our positive relationship."

Mark Ferrie becomes the latest player to commit his future to Cowdenbeath, signing a new deal for the 2026/27 season.
The 20 year old joined the club in November, initially until January, before agreeing to stay until the summer. The new contract is his third in as many months and shows his dedication to The Blue Brazil.
We look forward to next season with Mark on board.
Mark on his new deal "Iβm delighted to sign for next season, Iβve loved my time at the club so far and Iβm very grateful for the opportunity Iβve been given to show what I can do while trying to help the team as much as possible. Everyone at the club has been amazing so for me it was an easy decision to sign another year. Iβm excited for the second half of the season and for next season to see what we can achieve."
With manager Paul McLean commenting "Delighted to get Mark tied up for another season. Heβs been fantastic since heβs come in and is getting sharper every week. With a proper pre-season next year, Iβm sure he will be even better. Heβs a top quality finisher and makes players around him better. A player with a great attitude for the game and another one who has committed to the club early showing the togetherness we have got in our changing room."
Director of Football Operations added "It's a real coup for the club to get Mark on board for next season to really strengthen our future plans. His attitude and enthusiasm to be here is fantastic and his performances have been full of quality. I do believe he will go from strength to strength and it's a pleasure to have him at the club."

Dylan Mauchin followed up his two goals on Saturday by signing a new deal with the club, keeping him at Central Park for the 2026/27 season.
Dylan arrived from Livingston in the summer and has made 23 appearances for The Blue Brazil, netting 6 times.
We're delighted he'll be continuing his development at Cowdenbeath.
Upon signing, the young midfielder commented "Buzzing to sign on another year. It was a no brainer for me to sign with how good of a group the boys, the gaffer and everyone around the club is. Hopefully we can finish the rest of this season strong and build on this momentum. Also looking forward to what next season and the future can bring."
With manager Paul McLean adding "Delighted to tie up Dylan for another season. Heβs a player with real quality and is still only 18 so will only get better. Iβve already seen huge improvement in his game since the start of the season and heβs starting to add goals and assists on a more regular basis. A great kid to work with and Iβm looking forward to continuing to watch his development."
Director of Football Operations Colin Nelson shared his thoughts also "Great to share with our supporters that Dylan Mauchin has extended for next season. He's someone who has the talent to really kick on and we always felt this is the right environment to display that talent and mature as a footballer and a person. He's worked exceptionally hard on other parts of his game and credit to him and the manager/staff for helping him develop. Scored two wonderful goals against East Stirlingshire and I'm sure we will see many more moments like this in the future."

We are thrilled to announce that manager Paul McLean has extended his stay at Central Park.
Paul, who was part of the coaching team last season, took over from Dougie Hill in the summer and quickly got to work building his own squad - a young side with a sprinkle of experience throughout.
Some impressive results have followed - winning away to Cumbernauld Colts for the first time, our first win over Civil Service Strollers in the Lowland League and Cowdenbeath's first victory over Celtic B, as well as a resounding 7-0 win at Blackburn United.
We look forward to seeing how Paul's team develops throughout the rest of this season and now into the 2026/27 season.
Upon signing his new deal, Paul commented "Iβm delighted to have agreed an extension with the club. I would like to thank the chairman and board for putting their continued trust in me. I have thoroughly enjoyed the step up to management and look forward to progressing the foundation we have built this season.
I feel this group has a lot of potential and I will continue to work as hard as I can to get the best out of them and to give this club the team it deserves. I (with the help of Nelly) have already started the groundwork for next season as is evident with having 8 boys signed up and hopefully more to come.
Finally, I want to thank all my staff for their hard work and dedication and hope we can continue to get this club back to where it belongs."
Chairman Donald Findlay KC added "I am delighted that Paul has agreed to extend his contract. I have been most impressed by his hard work and the positive atmosphere he has created in the dressing room. I see clear signs that we are making real progress and I believe he is the man to take the Club forward. I hope everyone connected with the Club will welcome this news and give Paul wholehearted support."

Behind door number 20 is a contract extension for Mark Ferrie.
The 20 year old joined the club last month, initially until January, but has now committed to Cowdenbeath until the end of the season.
Mark scored his first Blue Brazil goal last Saturday - the first of many, we hope.
Upon finding his new contract behind today's door, Mark commented "Iβm delighted to be re-signing until the end of the season as Iβve loved my time at the club so far so it was a no brainer for me to re-sign. Everyone at the club has been brilliant with me too and also the supporters. We have been on a good run as a team recently, picking up some good results and we are just looking to build on that. I was buzzing to score my first goal against Bonnyrigg last week so hopefully I can build on that and help the team as much as possible for the rest of the season."
While manager Paul McLean added "Really pleased to tie Mark up until the end of the season. Heβs fitted in brilliantly with the boys since he joined and has added an extra dimension to our team. He's a player with real quality and is a fantastic finisher. He got his first goal on Saturday and Iβm sure he will add a lot more in the second half of the season."

We're delighted to announce that Scott Cameron has signed a new contract which will see him remain at Central Park until at least the end of the 2027/28 season.
The 21 year old joined the club from Bo'ness Athletic in the summer and is currently nursing an injury obtained in the South Challenge Cup game against Caledonian Braves. We expect Scott to be back in training in the next month.
Upon signing his new deal, Scott stated "Iβm delighted to have signed a contract extension with Cowdenbeath. Iβm incredibly grateful for the trust shown in me by the manager, coaching staff, and supporters, especially while dealing with an unfortunate injury. That support has meant a great deal to me. Iβm fully focused on my recovery and canβt wait to get back on the pitch, give everything for the club, and help the team push forward in the remaining games this season and the seasons ahead."
Manager Paul McLean on tying down the young defender "Really pleased Scott has committed to the club for a further two seasons. Heβs a real leader in the dressing room even at a young age and fits the profile of exactly what we are trying to build at the club. Heβs someone who will continue to improve and will be stronger next season for the experience he has had this year. Another good bit of business by the club."
While Director of Football Operations Colin Nelson commented "Really happy to confirm we have extended Scott by 2 years to further enhance our position of tying down key players for the future. Scott has been unfortunate this season with injury however when he plays we can all see his qualities and leadership. He is a great player and great lad and the right type for this football club."

We're ecstatic to confirm that Finlay Ness has agreed a new deal that will see him stay at Central Park until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Finlay joined the club in the summer having appeared as a trialist towards the end of the last campaign. He scored his first goal for The Blue Brazil in the 7-0 win over Blackburn United in September.
Upon signing his new deal, Finlay commented "Delighted to be staying for another season. Iβm grateful for the support the fans have shown me since I arrived, it means a lot. Iβll keep working hard and giving my all for the club."
While his manager, Paul McLean, added "Really pleased to get Finlay tied up to the club for another season. A player who deserves massive credit for his attitude as he had to be patient and work hard to make his mark on the team but he has developed a huge amount in the short time we have worked together and that is a mark of his character. He has great energy and enthusiasm for the game and can play in a number of positions so has made himself an invaluable member of the squad."
Director of Football Operations Colin Nelson said "Great news to get another excellent player signed for next season. Finlay deserves this extension for his hard work and development. He is one of the fittest hardest working lads I've seen in a Cowden jersey."
