Hello Everyone. My name is Thandiwe Nompumelelo Mhlanga, and I am a fourth-year medical student at Nelson Mandela University. I am reaching out with deep urgency to request financial assistance, as I am facing a critical situation that may end my academic journey.
I am originally from Rustenburg, North West, and I have been working hard to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor . Thankfully, I have secured bursary funding that will cover my tuition and expenses from this year until I complete my studies. However, my bursary does not cover historical debt, which has left me unable to register for this academic year.
The outstanding debt from my first and second years remains a major obstacle. Despite my third-year fees being covered, I still owe the university, and they have given me a deadline of Friday, 21 March 2025 to settle this amount. If I do not, I will be unable to register and will be forced to vacate my university residence, putting my future at risk.
I have been reaching out to different companies and organisations requesting donations, but unfortunately, I have not had any luck. With time running out, I am humbly appealing to you for any financial assistance or support that could help me settle this debt and continue my studies.
