All the signs that Labour wants to undo #Brexit
It’s a long list, but it’s not translating into real progress
It’s time to be much bolder

Landscapes are being littered with noisy data centres running on dirty energy, where no one works, and which enable the technology whose inventors either boast about putting millions of people out of work or threaten to wipe out humankind

Confirmation that the government’s toxic pharma deal with Trump will not go through Parliament before it’s enacted.
And still Big Pharma demand more. These vultures will break the NHS before they’re through. We must stand up to them.

83% of Britain’s electricity is currently zero carbon.
This is an incredible achievement of which we should be rightly proud and motivated to go further, faster.
Instead, we’ve got fossil fuelled politicians telling us we should be focusing on 93% depleted North Sea oil & gas.
Margaret Thatcher sowed the seeds of society's destruction by placing profits between us and the things we need to live😡😡
The government must end this inhumane experiment now. They promised to do so.

Ministers are reportedly exploring how to cancel dangerous spy-tech firm Palantir's contract to handle NHS data after over 150k people joined me in calling on them to break the contract.
Join us - together we can kick out Palantir out of our NHS:

Palantir have their fingers all over systems in the NHS, and MoD. Our nationally significant tech systems should be UK owned, sovereign tech solutions - not outsourced to politically motivated US companies.
Let's get Palantir out of our systems, right now!
We’ve built cheap energy but we’re still pricing it like it’s expensive.
The UK uses a marginal pricing system, where the last (most expensive) generator sets the price. That’s usually gas.
So even when most of our electricity comes from cheap wind and solar, households still pay gas prices.
That’s why bills haven’t fallen.
Getting off gas pricing is about fixing the system by reforming the electricity market so gas no longer sets the price, building storage so we don’t rely on gas for backup, reconnecting with European energy systems to smooth supply, reducing gas demand through insulation and heat pumps, and continuing to expand renewables so gas is needed less and less.
Until we do that, cheap energy will keep being priced like expensive gas.
Everything rotten in Britain stems from this period. Everything.
Landlord rents. Shit in the rivers. Zero work hours. No British industry. Gas, electric bills through the roof,
No affordable housing.
All of it.
🙌 This gives HUGE hope!!!
The EU has just greenlit talks with the UK on closer cooperation including electricity.
This is a game changer!
UK’s biggest vulnerability right now is exposure to global energy markets. When gas prices spike, our bills spike. That feeds straight into inflation, interest rates and growth.
Working more closely with Europe means:
👉 better interconnection
👉 more stable supply
👉 less volatility in prices
💪 more resilience.
After Brexit, we lost some of that coordination but kept the exposure.
This is a step back towards managing it.
The question is whether government follows through or keeps trying to make a broken model work to deliver decline and chaos.
My family installed 5KW of solar panels for our farm 4 years ago with EU subsidies and a personal investment.
We live in a temperate area with pretty cold and cloudy winters.
The investment has already been paid for and we are net contributors to the grid now.
Anyone saying renewables don't work or are not cost effective is either a complete idiot or has a financial interest in sticking to fossil fuels.
University of Oxford : maximising oil and gas extraction here would only save UK households up to £82 (€95) per year. A UK fully powered by renewable energy, would save households up to £441 (€510) a year on energy bills.

Somehow reminiscent of those pictures of Nazi architect Albert Speer showing his designs for Germania to megalomaniac and incompetent Supreme Commander-in-Chief Adolf Hitler.

Australians can now live & work freely in the EU for 4 years and vice versa
That means they now have 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 EU rights than British people. Free movement offered millions of us fantastic opportunities but Brexiteers slammed that door shut, most shamefully on their own children
This is what I have been warning about for years and years.
The EU takes longer to do trade deals than Britain does.
But theirs end up better than ours.
And that's crucial, because their firms and consumers will benefit more than ours indefinitely going forward.
Be more EU.
There’s a limited supply of oil & gas. They’re controlled by billionaires. Wars are fought for them.
They’re very expensive.
There is an endless supply of wind and sunlight, and nobody can control them. No wars are fought for them.
They’re free.
How should we power the world?
