Despite our best laid plans, God has some ideas of His own for our lives. When we focus less on figuring out our own plans and more on knowing and enjoying God, we begin to see the future He has in store for us–His perfect plan–unfold.
We need saints, good guides who can steer us toward Christlike maturity. We need to hear what they say, see what they do, get a taste for the kind of choices they make.
People are messy; therefore, relationships will be messy. Expect messiness--and that's why no one can expect lasting marriages, friendship, or communities without knowing how to give and receive forgiveness.
The same bible that tells us to "rejoice always" has a book called Lamentations. We don’t have to choose one from the other.
Good, healthy Christian faith is non-dualistic, able to hold multiple tensions together.
