On Tuesday 14 July 2026, at 09h00, Nelson Mandela Square conducted a planned emergency evacuation drill.

In order to prioritise the safety and security of shoppers, staff and tenants at all times, Nelson Mandela Square ensure that regular simulation evacuations take place, so that in the event of a real emergency, all participants are well versed in their respective roles.

Centre Management would like to express their gratitude to all participants as well as to shoppers, staff and tenants for their patience and support during the exercise.
