For you nerds out there he's the sounding from out 415pm balloon launch. We are seeing that the cap has eroded. Cape sub 1000 and lower lapse rates than earlier. Good news for supercell development; it isn't as potent an environment. Not much insight into the main event overnight. We'll be doing another one around 9-10 pm. The "real" balloon from the NWS is currently flying.
Thunderstorm continues to tantrum through the AM commute. It's not severe. HRRR thinks rain and a few lightning storms will continue off and on through the lunch hours, then we clear out / 701 AM
Latest HRRR thinks the storms to our NW fizzle tonight. Then, storms reform into an "I-24 Special" tomorrow early afternoon. HRRR could be wrong. We'll see. ^al
