@willsworldview@DrFrankTurek He’s just a bot. All their tweets are posted on the hour, every day. It’s just another symptom of how vapid Christianity has become.
@DestroyL23@Rick_HM@Telford00001@beri_grizou It’s not ‘athletes’. It’s about identity. Your club represents your area, your home. It’s tribal in that way. It’s about memories on the terraces with dad/friends etc. people who may no longer be alive. It provides that familial link.
Perhaps American sport is not like that 🤷🏼♂️
@TrustingChrist_@Wizzifesky@UgoCannon@grok You should trust in Jesus’ own teachings on this, and not the unreliable chatbot.
Doubt is natural in the sinful. But it can be overcome. I will pray for you.
@gatocabron49@mck_wes@coupedumonde07 Let’s be honest, the conference league is pointless anyway - just money grab from uefa. It should be ditched. And europa league scaled down
@Elevator2ThaTop@sharetwits@DrFrankTurek Scripture is only understood in the historical context within which it was written.
When the world didn’t end, early Christians had 2 choices…
1. Accept Jesus was wrong.
2. Re-interpret the texts to explain why the world didn’t end.
And here you are 2k years later
@Elevator2ThaTop@sharetwits@DrFrankTurek All these teachings of Jesus were meant for that generation. Not for you. These teachings were not designed with you in mind. To misrepresent the text is to disrespect it.
Why are you ignoring Jesus in this? Are you a loony leftie?
@Elevator2ThaTop@sharetwits@DrFrankTurek “The lunatic left picks and chooses the teachings of Jesus that on the surface appeal to them.” - You.
You are guilty of the same thing. Jesus clearly says the world is about to end. 2k years later youre linking it to American nationalism 😂
Respect the text.
@Elevator2ThaTop@sharetwits@DrFrankTurek Your interpretation is an anachronism. Out of place. Jesus clearly felt the world was about to end. The gospel writers also clung to this teaching. You, 2000 years later, disrespect the text out of a need to keep the ideology relevant after the generation of the apostles.
@Elevator2ThaTop@sharetwits@DrFrankTurek You disrespect the text by drawing anachronistic conclusions. The gospels were written (barely) within the generation of the apostles. As such jesus’ teachings were still valid.
But the world never ended. So ppl had to twist the text to keep the ideology relevant.
@Elevator2ThaTop@sharetwits@DrFrankTurek Jesus was essentially a doomsday preacher who thought the world was about to end. How these ‘values’ tie in with 21st century nationalism is for the birds.
