@Eric_Menge@KevinLamb74@dorsonkieffer So, you didn't want to offend anyone who didn't know what a wench is but you didn't mind making Rufus and Burne gay lovers?
@dpmont0407@osgamer74@0xDavecryps Yeah, I made $170 a week and shared a shelter half/puptent with one other stinky dude fairly often. We slept on the ground but had almost unlimited bathroom options.
@skepticalone44@Blackmoor_Film@tsimalaw Holmes/Blue Book did not come after AD&D. It was produced initially in early 1977. The PHB didn't come out until late 78. MM came first in late 77. DMG came in 79.
@Nerdcognito The fact that Baldman Games guy (worst group of DMs I've ever experienced) is the most qualified on this committee says it all. Baldman was the one running the gay swapped Rufus and Burne in their version of Hommlett with the Welcome Wench swapped to Prancing Paladin
@ElBr0th3rMou5e@SandyofCthulhu@Blackmoor_Film@Monkey7771 Not really. There first was a book called Basic D&D by Dr. Holmes. Years later they made Basic and Expert D&D (Moldvay & Cook). The Basic in that edition was similiar but not the same. Then came Frank Mentzer's version of BECMI (each separate books initially).
