Looks like it was too much for Fonseca to face someone his age who can actually run.
The constant elongated grunts and miraculously hitting the lines over and over again on big points didn't help him this time lol
Vamos Mensik
@ManasA071558920 But then I get involved in watching his FO journey and this happens? Could've closed in 3, or 4 if just a couple big points went his way but nope, not only did he run out of gas but Fonseca was just hitting line after line and serving like Isner lol. So random, just over it mate
@ManasA071558920 The AO final earlier this year was already almost the last nail in the coffin for me, the way he came out playing his best tennis since probably the AO 2019 final and then he suddenly has this energy crash that gifts Alcaraz a free career grand slam was already unbearable
@ManasA071558920 Over time it will be forgotten much quicker than if he had converted. His win in AO 25 against Alcaraz is almost never being talked about, because he had to pull out next round.
I'm aware he does whatever he wants, I'm just stating my opinion get off your high horse buddy
@DavidHa04461705@Martin7rzv If we lived in a world full of intelligent and good ppl, everyone would see why Djokovic is by far the GOAT of all sports even, for reasons beyond winning but we don't. We live in a world full of dishonesty, idiocy, woke people who lack common sense so they won't see any of that.
@prince_rage124@DavidHa04461705 Exactly, I mean I've taken many losses and kept believing but I'm just done now. Way too many painful defeats since 2024 began.
@Martin7rzv@DavidHa04461705 He is good enough tennistically, his body is not which can lead to him getting upset easier by randoms but he still has a high ceiling when he feels good.
He was walking and gasping for air for 2 sets and a half while the other guy is running like a rabbit chasing everything down
@Martin7rzv@DavidHa04461705 His tennis quality is good enough to beat Sinner and Alcaraz and he's proven that so he's not at the top cause of "poor field depth". He's at the top because he's that good, the issue is all his age and body that keeps betraying him over and over again.
@VBSofficial_@DavidHa04461705 It has nothing to do with winning. He's lost plenty of times before and I didn't blink. But it's got to a point where his tennis is good enough but his body is not, which will inevitably keep leading to bitter ends. I personally find it painful, if you don't then just enjoy
@NJCaliGuyGymFan@nadalprop_ I believe winning 14 FOs is more difficult, just like winning 10 AOs is probably more difficult than winning 24 slams, but winning 24 slams is still more difficult than winning 22 ๐
@DavidHa04461705 Well if you enjoy painful defeats after 5 hours or him losing over and over again at the doorstep of a major trophy cause his body can't hold, then have fun.
