But you said there's no supposed to be anything

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

@TheThreeUnities @PierreCorneill6 @CardinalRichie1 @FrenchCommoners

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

@PierreCorneill6 Oh yeah, this is also something #TheCid's characters are lacking in. I would expect nothing less from their playwright https://t.co/msgGXAecNB

[Armand Jean du Pless @CardinalRichie1]

@NeoDramaKing @PierreCorneill6 This getting out of control gentlemen! WHERE IS YOUR DECORUM?!

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

@PierreCorneill6

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

Since @PierreCorneill6 will not concede defeat, this mean war! Everyone Take a pamphlet https://t.co/d1YvGZy6ho

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

@PierreCorneill6 You are the reason why Plato hated theatre. Plato would hate #TheCid! It sets a terrible example for @FrenchCommoners

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

@PierreCorneill6 Even if you didn't steal #TheCid it still sucks: You can't mix tragedy and comedy any educated person would know that

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

@PierreCorneill6 Oh yes that's right, you did something even worse than a poor translation, you committed intellectual robbery!

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

@PierreCorneill6 claims #TheCid is his greatest work yet it is nothing but a cheap translation

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

@PierreCorneill6 Your "play" also breaks the unity of time, thus it is not a play

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

@PierreCorneill6 Besides, you can't write a play about an event that ACTUALLY happened, that is history, not theatre

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

What is art coming to if people if people consider #TheCid theatre? We are regressing back into the Dark Ages

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

@PierreCorneill6 The plot is worthless, it abuses the basic rules of dramatic poetry, & it has an erratic course. This is not theatre!

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

There are certain plays that from a distance appear to be stars but that close up are nothing but worms #TheCid

[Georges de Scudéry @NeoDramaKing]

I saw #TheCid & I must confess @PierreCorneill6 I'd consider myself a poor excuse for a friend if I didn't tell you exactly what I think
