@Mattsterical@BringBackBanjoK You're talking about the story. Because it neglets important stuff from BoTW from a narrative point of view. But as a game, which is what it is, it does the job as it should have. Everything in it is a direct evolution of BoTW exploration and mechanics.
@Mattsterical@BringBackBanjoK It doesn't make sense to say that is a good game but a bad sequel, when it has basically everything a sequel to BoTW should have. A big map with lots of stuff to explore, and a huge expansion on the mechanics that the Sheikah tablet brought. It only make sense to say it's bad if+
@BringBackBanjoK Like, the point of a video-GAME is to play it. Again, it's fair to criticize the story, because Zelda has always had a secondary focus on its story. But if the game is good and the story is bad, it is still doing at least a half of what you were going for.
@BringBackBanjoK The biggest problem with ToTK is its story. I find every criticism on how it handles its story fair and true.
But you have to pretend the gameplay isn't almost Minecraft level in innovation and creativity, on top of the already satisfying gameplay of BoTW.
@Mattsterical@BringBackBanjoK It is a bad story sequel, that's true. But being a good game makes it a good sequel, period. Because the main point is the game. Not to say you can't criticize or dislike it for the story, but if you say "it's a good game and that's it" you are dismissing the main point.
@tjherriot@BringBackBanjoK Idk. Why taking time in making a pretty house in Minecraft or Terraria when you can just make a big ass block with everything you need inside? That's ok. But that doesn't mean the game isn't fun when you use the mechanics to build something cool.
Not everything has to be optimal.
@KratosClaire There are many reasons actually.
1. I already played it and want to see other's reactions.
2. I'm not interested in playing the game because it's not my type.
3. It's a horror game (see above)
4. I have more fun seeing how other plays it (Lythero)
5. I can't play it
And so on.
For Gravity Circuit 2, @Dominic_Ninmark is reprising his role as the composer. He's got plenty bangers in store for the sequel, but today we have a preview: the Opening Stage track!
You might recognize this from the sequel's trailer!
