Unfortunately in the money driven post-capitalism hell hole we live in, it'll literally take sweeping government reform to change it.

Half of your state's minimum wage, but the opportunity to get way more. And that's really why tipping culture has stayed in the US, win win for employer and employee

Serving, you get 5p/hr, but with tips it equals to more like 20p. Yeah the extra 5p would be cool, but you're already over /c

@PipaWolf @pChalTV I'm honestly not sure, I've never worked or know anyone who's served in fine dining. I know the kitchen gets paid better, but I can totally see places giving servers min wage becuase "Well if you're getting 20% of checks with our astronomical prices, isn't that enough?"

@KanaKoumori @pChalTV I do agree that that attitude is poor, if it was meant sincerely. Some servers fall into the trap of being greedy really quick lol. If I get a wildly low tip, I'd be disappointed at most, but bot angry. I think it was worded over the top on purpose for the sake of comedy though

People who have the attitude of "I never tip because it's not my job, employers should pay people properly" are only hurting the server, the owner of Red Lobster doesn't give a shit. Only way it will change is government regulations, seriously

@PipaWolf @pChalTV Fine dining, there are places where you do only get like 2 tables a night, and your sole job is to wait on them hand & foot and anticipate their every need, often times for 4hr+ stays. If 1 of my 2 tables of the night was a 10%er I'd be disappointed, for sure.

@PipaWolf @pChalTV The average "correct" amount is 15-20%, depending on the area. I usually see 10-20%s on checks in any given day. In fine dining you're expected to tip more (If you can pay $700 for one dinner, an extra 20-30% shouldn't be a problem), or it's automatically included. Also, with /c

@KanaKoumori @pChalTV It depends on the place, some fine dining you get 2 tables a shift and are dedicated to waiting on them hand and foot for that time. A 10% would be disappointing for sure. Also depends on the area, $70 in LA is like 2 day's worth of groceries.

@starlightttv @Alpharad It really is. I feel like a lot of adult comedy movies are "for adults" but in a way to appeal to teens, if that makes sense. Scenes that absolutely could not make it into a pg13, but serve no real purpose other than to make teens who snuck in feel like they're seeing a taboo.
