Hi there! My name is Neonie (pronounced ni-oh-ni).
VR Chat user since 2017.
Video Gamer since the early 90's.
Anime Watcher since 2009.
Gacha gamer (started with GBF) since 2010.
I am also an avid reader and have occasionally done hobbyist creative writing.
Pleased to meet you.
Something that still blows my mind: I was 28 when I started playing VR Chat.
... I'm currently 37.
VR Chat is a free game.
... I've spent probably close to about $6,500 on it, if you include headsets, accessories, controllers, cables, avatar comissions, ect...
@DimitriMonroeZ I agree. In order for a game with creature designs like this to really take off, you need both purely wholesome designs and easily lewdable designs to keep things interesting. I come for the gameplay and interesting mechanics, I stay because Katress is a baddie.
@The_Eggroller Considering where that hand is, the tissue box, the lotion, and the trashcan full of... Stuff. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's not actually "ant" mating rituals she's watching.
Why "Sons of the Forest"? Wouldn't it make more sense to tell people to go play Dave the Diver?
But the Subnuatica 2 devs probably have no idea what an actually good game looks like, so I guess I can forgive they wouldn't be able to name one.
Subnautica 2 devs say "go play Sons of the Forest" if you don't like its lack of violence.
The game focuses on underwater exploration, and you cannot kill most creatures.
On the official Discord, one player asked why killing is impossible in SN2 as it makes no sense. Level designer Artyom O’Rielly replied,
“This is not a killing game, so go play Sons of the Forest if you want to kill.” Another developer said, “The team discusses this a lot inside the studio and may let players catch small fish for food, but large creatures will stay safe so the game feels right.”
This idea comes from the first Subnautica, as the team wants players to discover things, feel wonder, and live with ocean life instead of fighting it.
A fan-made mod already lets players kill creatures, and the studio is reading all feedback. It plans to add better ways to scare off creatures but will not add weapons.
Early access is expected to last up to 3 years.
"Go to hell" is boring. "I hope your favorite franchise gets adapted into a netflix anime by adi shankar and your favorite characters mischaracterized" is terrifying. It's possible. It's happening to people
@NTE_WL I always like when we have Weapon banner specific currencies, since it can always be really hard to want to spend the other currencies on Weapons instead of Characters.
It always makes me very happy that despite being a pretty niche series all things considered, Nanoha is the page image for several different trope pages on TVtropes.
