You're not imagining it, something on Dress to Impress is slow lately! It seems to come in bursts.
Haven't had a chance to dig in yet! Keeping it top of the list for what we look into next π
basically it's: we have a self-hosted service that tracks basic pageview numbers just for us, and the data never leaves our server!
but our lil service went down, and uhh apparently we set up the page to wait on *that* to finish loading *first*?? oops π€
Ouuugh sorry folks, been offline for a couple weeks doing Other Things, and just found the bug that's been making DTI 2020 slow as beans.
I've unbeaned that pipe now. It is now beanless.
Oh jeez, sorry for the downtime lately! We've fixed a major bug now, *and* we've fixed an issue in the system that's supposed to buzz my phone when things go down π
We'll be keeping an eye on it today to make sure it all stays up this time!
We and TNT are looking for help choosing what to build together next, now that we have the NeoPass basics set up!
Can you help us decide, please?? π

(I'm planning to launch to everyone in the next couple days, but having some folks help me make sure that it Literally Works For Not Just My Accounts first would be handy!! π₯Ίπ)
Whuh oh, there's finally been so many outfits created that we've run out of ID numbers!
This is causing issues creating new outfits, or adding items to outfits.
Sorry for this, we'll take a look soon! (I'm away from my usual workstation this week, but I've got backup plans!)
Also we made some changes to the site today that should speed up a lot of everyday navigationβbut might come with some bugs! Let us know if something starts acting funny! π
Big news: we're adding NeoPass and other integrations to DTI over the coming months!
We're hoping it will help new users, and can be part of a more sustainable future for the site.
Here's what's coming and why: https://t.co/NzAbECXVF8
Oops, fixed an issue where some items were showing incorrect art!
(Looks like some of TNT's reference art is included in the asset bundle sometimes, and so now we know how to filter it out more consistently!)
Happy bugfix day!
- Support more non-English text and emojis in outfit names and list descriptions (big database migration!)
- Fix crash when moving items into a list that already contains that item (should merge the quantities)
I think what I'm observing is that the "restricted zones" setting on the Baby Body Paint items changes based on what kind of pet is wearing it?
That's an exciting and important change, but not one our system is at *all* prepared for, oops! We'll investigate.
Ah jeez, it looks like these baby body paints might change the rules for zone restrictions?
They're gonna look funny until we have a chance to diagnose the issue and maybe substantially change how a *lot* of our code works, oof. Sorry about this!
(The reason these filters never quite worked when we imported the new UI into the main site is that it was still using the 2020 backend, and getting login synced is tricky!
We fixed this by updating the main app's item search backend to be compatible with the new UI π€)
We've made a change that should fix searches for "Items you own" and "Items you want" on the main app now!
There was a lot under the hood of this one, so let us know if you see anything suspicious! π
