Live Lite came free with my Akai MPD32 and it just worked very well for me coming from the MPC 2000 XL. I especially loved the warping algorithms when I started using Live and the ability to have immediate access to my entire sample collection from within Live’s browser. Later on I started to love the internal instruments and effects and the way you can create custom instrument and effect racks with them.
