decided to start buying back into $UPAY

one thing i've noticed about this season on Robinhood is that the projects still worth paying attention to are mostly just builders grinding it out while the charts give them absolutely nothing in return

the team went quiet for a bit, acknowledged the operational and legal hurdles they've been dealing with, but the app remained functional throughout

now they're back with a revamped UI and v2 in the works, including an AI assistant that helps users find and purchase what they need just by describing it

the idea of taking money you've made onchain and actually spending it on things you use in everyday life is ridiculously easy to understand

no complicated DeFi mechanics, no need to convince people why they'd want to use it

the use case already exists, it's just a matter of making the experience seamless enough for people to adopt

obviously the team still has a lot to prove, especially after the recent silence, and shipping updates alone doesn't guarantee adoption

but i've always found it interesting how quickly people lose interest in a project when the chart stops rewarding them, even when the underlying product is still being worked on

this RH season has been a pretty good reminder that sometimes the builders and the market are operating on completely different timelines

i'm buying back in because i still like what they're trying to build, and more importantly, they're still here trying to build it
