Every girl in Nigeria deserves to manage her period with dignity, confidence, knowledge, and support.

In support of the World Menstrual Hygiene Day, Glory Ifezue Foundation will be carrying out school outreaches to educate junior secondary school girls on menstrual hygiene

and practical ways to confidently manage their periods while in school.

Through conversations, education, and support, we hope to help create period-friendly schools where no girl feels ashamed, afraid, or left behind because of menstruation.

Schools must be protected.
Teachers must be valued.
Children must be safe.

Our goal is to continue empowering women in grassroots communities with practical skills that can help them build sustainable livelihoods.

We have encouraged our trainees to open social media pages where they can showcase and promote their work.

But how can things change if everyone is forced to keep quiet? When a citizen exposes a decaying school, the first response should not be intimidation. It should be: “How do we fix this school?”

It is worrying to see people speak up about issues that affect public welfare, and instead of those issues being investigated, the people who raised the alarm are sometimes arrested, threatened, assaulted, intimidated, or publicly dismissed.
