Even if the average Nigerian doesn't have money, we still deserve a choice. A third option providing access to good homes that won't become a figurative noose around your neck that tightens whenever that rent circular comes,

But >70% of us can't afford to build, or even buy. With the way our country is going, most of that set will probably never be able to in their lifetimes.

Then there's me trying to build and scale a housing startup offering this population affordable access to HQ homes. Big challenge.
My solution: build a way to increase that disposable income right into the system.

Even when one is provided for nearly free, they won't also be able to maintain it.
Just like fintechs, social media and most other disruptions, housing programs that will successfully drive inclusion of the teeming non-consumer population have to be purposed to elevate homeowners

it also presents an immense opportunity for housing programs that can design a way to drive inclusion.
But it's not going to be those sprawling "low cost" estates with dystopian monotony. It has to go deeper. People can't afford to get good homes so

The prospects of an average Nigerian ever owning their own home is more likely to be 0 than 1. Chances of a great home?

In a country where several millions of us are practically poor, it's a huge problem that decent housing is beyond average people's reach

Many real estate developments have been described to be urban death boxes but it appears some Nigerian developers don't mind make it a literal reference.
The rubble will clear, That's a given. But will anything change? 🤷🏾‍♂️
