@HorzaEdeo Sciurimimus is a juvenile theropod dinosaur with no known adult specimen. They had a floofy body, including a fluffy tail which gave it its name (Squirrel - mimic)

Been a while since I posted anything, so here's a WIP reconstruction of the small mammal Yaverlestes from the wessex formation of the Isle of Wight

[Eotyrannu5 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @Neovenator1]

@Paleojim Pretty sure this was a joke spread by 4Chan to try to fool people.

[Eotyrannu5 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @Neovenator1]

@Paleojim the opposite of Pliosaurus funkei, which has enormous flippers! What would the purpose of such small flippers be?

[Eotyrannu5 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @Neovenator1]

@SX88428589 @Dean_R_Lomax We didn't evolve from chimps. We shared a common ancestor with them, same as how we shared a common ancestor with Dimetrodon. Evolution also isn't about "survival of the fittest" which is always thrown about. It's about being adapted to the environment and the niche you fill.

[Eotyrannu5 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @Neovenator1]

@VilleSinkkonen Is this based on Hartman's skeletal?

[Eotyrannu5 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @Neovenator1]

[Eotyrannu5 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @Neovenator1]

[Eotyrannu5 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @Neovenator1]

@cyroofthestars @WilliamBabey @Stumbleghost Iirc there's a BBC dinosaur documentary scheduled for 2020 release in the works... if BBC is gonna continue the theme as per "Planet Earth II" and "Blue Planet II" I think a "Walking with Dinosaurs II" would be fitting

[Eotyrannu5 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @Neovenator1]

@etchescollect Is that a bit of the shoulder girdle under the flipper? (Coracoid?)

[Sirocco Kākāpō @Spokesbird]
