@sean_gause Since its supernatural stuff, you could give the lore dumps through ghosts, seeing them act out the past (similar to Cal Kestis from Jedi: Fallen Orde/Survior), have ghosts read out what they have written, or just show the letter but give her only an emotion she gets from it.

When I was younger, I just finished books when I read them, regardless of how much I didn't like it (it made me choosey on which books I read)

Some folks would rather have someone tell them a story rather than reading one themselves
And if someone is able to absorb a story, have it potentially change them and talk about it later, does it really matter?

@HK47_Actual As you say, how terrible war is all over this series. Its one of the things that actually distinguishes it self from being the Flash Gordon clone it started as. All the people that die during both Death Star runs, Luke's Aunt and Uncle. Not sure what his point is supposed to be.
