@JeremySCook@adafruit Something like this? https://t.co/HW1snGc44e The DAC is a PCM5100A, I've used it with and without the breakout in a prototype drum machine recently, got it working with both Python and C/C++
Started testing Drumkid 2 prototype this week. By far the most complex PCB I've designed, and it works! Have avoided anything beyond the realm of 5V Arduino-ish digital circuits until now, so levelling up to op-amps, Eurorack, multiple power rails etc has been quite a jump
Working on Drumkid 2 today. Using a mixture of Google and ChatGPT to learn enough about transistors that I can add a clock input for Eurorack compatibility. Very grateful to the designers who've shared their schematics!
Child 2's "lullaby" (a song I don't mind singing over and over) is Suzanne by Leonard Cohen. There are three verses, each ending with a variant of "for you've touched her perfect body with your mind". When you've sung the song several hundred times, you start to go a bit mad 🧵
And maybe no-one can touch Jesus's body because [something complicated about body and spirit and holy ghosts etc upon which my broadly secular upbringing leaves me unqualified to speculate]?
However much I claim to be into interesting, niche artists, however much I listen to experimental microtonal music, however far down the modular synthesis rabbit hole I go, I still really like the Stereophonics
Parenting tip: do not invent a game called "Mystery Ride" in which you put your toddler in the washing basket, cover him with a towel, sing "where are we going on the mystery ride?" and fly him to random rooms in the house. He will never allow you to stop. Everything hurts
Guitar pedal called The Maypole with a clear top, circuit board looks like a meadow, one long pot shaft painted to look like a maypole, tiny ribbons twist when you turn the ornate single knob. Little model morris people milling around on PCB. No idea what it does
