The bus system is a major reason why I left the city and when I was looking for a place here, it had to be walkable/bikeable to work. Wasn't possible in Ottawa to find affordable housing anywhere near my job.

@Jess_inthewild When I needed to get my rabies vax to go to vet tech school, I experienced very similar stuff. My Dr almost refused to order me the vax. And trying to get orders for titres... Ugh.

@VetMedCorner I only ever saw one in my time in clinic, and oh boy it was an extremely aggressive GSD. Owner was an elderly widow and her recently passed husband was the only one who handled the dog previously.

@Rh_Garner Super, incredible kudos for sure. Especially in an emergency. But can't you get a more diagnostic annual "routine" exam with safe sedation/anesthesia so you can get better samples/hands on?

Zoo social media folks: please don't share photos of awake radiographs (X-rays) with your animals, where multiple staff are being exposed to radiation. It's a practice that needs to go away, especially for a "routine" non-emergency procedure.

@grahamclark I remember watching Open Mike. He did a show at the venue my parents used to own (it was a small town hall kinda situation) in I assume the late 90s, too. Thanks for sharing.
