The foam arrived and I finished the first completed case. There will be thumb holes like the original in the ones for sale on the site. I am going to print a bunch and put them all up at once.
A couple days of tweaks, dumb errors and a little frustration and I am ready to offer these. Just waiting for the foam to come in so I can cut it for the final product. Learning Fusion is kind of fun.
Still powering through the order. Somewhat organized and I tinkered with a few things. The Family King Joystick is practically brand new. The box has seen some sun though! Pocket Pikachu works. I wore it the other day to get a step count. I think the pokeballs are gatcha but I cannot find any that match online. There are a bunch of tiny pokemon figures in there. Will probably just list it as one whole lot.
A lot of cleaning in my future. Tons of cool games in here too. 45 more games on the way as of yesterday. I need inventory for the two shows I have coming up!
Finally at a point where I am comfortable selling a finished product! I also decided to sell the three prototypes with their flaws (all detailed) on the site. I will also be listing a complete sticker pack as well as the alternate monitor scenes separately. This was a fun project!
Making some progress. Here are two final cases with the prototype in the middle. These are not perfect so I will probably list them reduced. Still dialing in the beat way to print the parts. These needed slight field mods to get going. The case uses a lot more filament than I expected! More on order due this week. I think the color is an almost perfect match now.
I am definitely not an engineer and this thing is not perfect. However, after many fails and tests, the model is acceptable and I will start offering these for sale complete with all stickers. (original on the right)
