@GovBillLee@TNedu Wow! Some great stuff here except the fact that you basically said that if my kid is reading and completing math on level they aren’t your priority. All kids should be moved from where they are forward and funding/policies should ensure that- not just those behind.
Great fiction has the power to heal & give hope. Jenny B. Jones gives a glimpse into the life of Katie Parker who had a trauma filled childhood, but is experiencing a redemptive, yet realistic, adulthood. I love the raw, real, and hopeful Katie Parker. https://t.co/IgSoznLCQg
“Although God will grant Christlikeness to us when Jesus returns, until then He intends for us to grow toward it. We aren’t merely to wait for holiness; we’re to pursue it.” -Donald S. Whitney

What we don’t need in crisis:
* districts to show off how much they can accomplish in two weeks
* expect teachers to give normalcy to epidemic
* for teachers to spend more time working from home than the long hours they normally do
* more stress on kids/ parents/ teachers
I had a great time reading poetry about schools and writing some poetry with these Deerfield kindergarten kids today. They brainstormed ideas, came up with rhyming words, and showed their Buck pride. #readacrossAmerica@desbucks
