There are two things that terrify me in this life, but if I’m asked what I fear the most, I would say poverty.
Some days I don’t have the motivation to work, I just work because I’m scared of being poor, I literally imagine my future self being poor and boom! I’m up all night.
How Swapump's Community-Only Token Launch Works
Here's a detailed explanation of the logic behind Swapump's Community-Only Token Launch (COTL):
1. Open Ecosystem
DeJoy's Marketplace integrates multiple third-party token launch platforms, including Swapump, https://t.co/vezobzC5Gq, Raydium Launchpad, and more. Users are free to choose whichever launchpad best fits their needs.
2. The Industry Problem
Traditional launchpads often suffer from bot sniping and MEV attacks, allowing automated traders to buy large amounts of tokens before genuine community members can participate. This frequently hurts fair distribution and can negatively impact a project's long-term success.
3. The COTL Solution
Swapump introduces a unique feature for the DeJoy ecosystem called Community-Only Token Launch (COTL).
If you add the Swapump app to your Space and launch a token from the Apps section inside that Space:
Before graduation, the token can only be traded within that Space.
We refer to this as a Community-Only Token.
After graduation, the token becomes freely tradable on public DEXs like any other token.
On the other hand, if you launch a token by opening Swapump directly from the Marketplace or from a DM, the token is publicly tradable immediately before graduation. We refer to these as Public Tokens.
4. Why This Matters
This approach gives project teams and early community members a fair opportunity to accumulate meaningful ownership before public trading begins.
Since trading is initially limited to the Space, bots and MEV snipers are effectively excluded from the early distribution process. This creates a healthier launch environment, improves community participation, and gives projects greater flexibility in managing their early ecosystem.
In Summary
Every tool in DeJoy is designed with the interests of projects, communities, and developers in mind.
Our goal is to create a balanced ecosystem where communities can grow sustainably while giving builders the infrastructure they need to launch, manage, and scale their digital assets.
I'll publish an official user guide explaining this feature in more detail soon.
Since these launchpads are third-party applications integrated into the DeJoy Marketplace, our goal is to help developers build more competitive applications within the DeJoy ecosystem.
Swapump is a great example. Its Community-Only Token Launch (COTL) model addresses one of the biggest pain points in today's token launch market giving project teams and early community builders a fair chance to accumulate meaningful allocations before graduation, instead of losing them to bots and MEV snipers.
I believe this creates a healthier launch environment for both builders and communities, while allowing developers to differentiate their products through innovative launch mechanisms.
