Appreciating nature treasures is consitently a source of nerdy joy. When I spy a wild trinket - the perfect limpet shell, a teeny piece of seaglass, a Redshank's feather - I get all giddy. Riches of the sea, spat out from the salty blue, onto the shore at my feet. How magic.

I attended a talk tonight on Cumbrian postman and artist Percy Kelly, who beautifully illustrated his letters to friends. He died in 1993 as the writing of letters was starting to die out, but his letters serve as a Requiem to the written word. https://t.co/Movzg7RNud
