Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth-
This is an excellent Metroidvania with great music and sprite art. It's simple but sometimes that's a good thing, especially for beginners to the genre. The bow as a 2nd weapon is great for ranged attacks and some puzzles.
Curse Crackers: For Whom the Belle Toils
A really charming platformer that does a great job at world-building. The sense of platforming flow in this game is incredible and finding secrets is rewarding. The Gameboy Color aesthetic is also a plus as well.
Persona 2: Innocent Sin (2/2)
This game even managed to make the silent protagonist have some charm. There is some tone whiplash at some moments but overall the story kept me wanting more and in an RPG that's great. The encounter rate is bad but there is a spell that lowers it.
Persona 2: Innocent Sin (1/2)
Wow what a crazy story that kept me wanting more. This game improves on so much from the first game and adds a cast that bounces off each other really well. The negotiation system is so unique and gives character to even the enemies in the game.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch)
A charming remake that adds changes that were needed from the original. I loved the art style and the animated intro and ending. Koholint is great to explore, I hope they make more top-down Zelda's to pair with the bigger adventures.
Super Metroid
One of my favorite games ever and it felt great to finally get 100% in under 3 hours. Just an amazing space adventure with an eerie soundtrack, awesome upgrades, big areas, and a solid story without many words. A revisit to this one is always a blast.
