Finally, NetMonster’s logged cells are now backed up to your Google Drive. The system will automatically restore your logs when you migrate NetMonster to a new device during setup. ☁️
Thanks to these changes, NR SA transmitters can now be located using NetMonster Premium. Make sure to check if your device reports TA in NR SA first! 📍
💛 Hello, yellow!
Cell attributes (like PSC, PCI, TAC, LAC, ARFCN) that aren't from the central database will now show in yellow instead of red. This helps you quickly see what's new versus what's been changed.
*SOME* devices can now properly indicate band per aggregated cell. NetMonster will instead on "20 + 20 + 10 MHz" show bandwidth of primary cell and total sum of all bands - 20 | 50 MHz.
Found a new transmitter and got loads of sectors in the log? Switch to eNb (or gNB) edit mode when editing the cell to apply changes to all sectors.
Available soon in version 3.0.3.
Version 3.0.0 also includes gNB parsing (NR SA) for select carriers. And full integration of databases for Portugal 🇵🇹 and Luxembourg 🇱🇺.
Available now in beta channel.
New version of "geolocation" will work only with LTE and NR NSA for now.
Since NetMonster will collect precise GPS data, battery consumption my be impacted. Data will be also used to calibrate TA. According to 3GPP spec 1 TA ~ 78 metres, but for some devices 144 m apply.
In order to use this functionality, you'll need NetMonster Premium subscription. Ads will be also removed from the app, once active. Offer includes 7 days of free trial.
Version 2.22.2 just hit the beta channel.
👉 It comes with regional rules for 5G bands (for example band n1 is now recognised in Europe).
👉 Band info is now glued to PCI/PSC when no cell location is available.
